With very tight space constraints on urban sites, modular construction was a practical solution to minimize time and site congestion.

Demolition and clean up required on an existing site is a real time concern. By using modular construction all aspects of the store construction can be inspected for quality and corporate details offsite, ensuring maximum completion before even hitting the actual site.

Site congestion and debris is minimized, allowing a cleaner more efficient space for underground and canopy installations.

Substantial building construction was started in NRB's yard in early summer, allowing building to be completed well before required on site. Building was then stored, waiting for city permitting and site work to begin.

Once building foundations were completed at site, the finished building was split into 3 shippable sections, transported on 3 flatbed trucks and installed by crane. With the time constraints on this particular site, canopy steel had already been erected, but building installation was still achieved in minimal time.

Sections seams were completed within 2 weeks running parallel with canopy finish, landscaping and asphalt paving. The new corporate store was stocked and ready for opening in record time.
