Fontaine Design Group

The Fontaine Design Group is one of the world's premier designers of custom yachts. The company needed impressive headquarters to serve their clients and construction expertise to ensure the building could withstand extreme weather conditions.

Triumph provided an interior finished with exotic woods, ten foot high ceilings to accommodate Fontaine's nautical decor, a main entry with French doors to let in light, energy-efficient Thermopane windows and a spacious deck overlooking the harbor.

The waterfront location in Portsmouth, RI, was in an "Exposure D" area, which means it may be exposed to winds up to 120 miles per hour, and falls in a flood zone due to its proximity to the shoreline.

Triumph designed the building's three modules with reinforcements to allow it to withstand hurricane force winds and erected an 8 foot high foundation of reinforced concrete to raise the structure above projected flood levels.
