Affordable, Energy-Efficient Modular Housing in Acton, MA

Triumph Modular partnered with the Acton Housing Authority to deliver permanent modular housing designed for affordability and sustainability. The project consists of six two-story modular buildings, totaling twelve living units intended for long-term affordable housing use. This permanent modular housing solution exceeded expectations by achieving LEED Gold Certification, surpassing the original Silver goal.

The project’s sustainable design incorporated energy-efficient finishes and materials, selected for both environmental impact and long-term durability. Notable features include large low-emissivity windows to maximize natural light, resilient tile flooring throughout, tile wainscoting in bathrooms, Marmoleum stair treads, and a full-height laminate kitchen backsplash. Plumbing fixtures and landscaping were selected to reduce water usage, and insulation exceeded IECC requirements.

With construction beginning in September 2012 and completing in July 2013, the Acton Housing Authority now benefits from a thoughtfully executed modular housing community built to stand the test of time—delivered on schedule and to a high environmental standard.

Triumph Modular delivers high-quality modular buildings for schools, businesses, and public agencies across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. Whether you’re expanding classroom space, adding a jobsite office, or planning a long-term facility, our modular solutions provide speed, flexibility, and code-compliant performance.
