Barnstable Early Childhood Center

Barnstable got a new 8,889 square foot permanent modular early childhood center over the summer season. The modular building houses a state-of-the-art occupational/physical therapy room and will accommodate up to 223 students. The number of students served previously was 160, therefore this gives the community a significant increase.

The modular learning center project broke ground in March and was ready for occupancy in September 2015. The new school was planned with its primary occupants in mind. The facility features equipment, furnishings, and even bathroom fixtures designed for preschoolers. The new school has long been on school officials’ list of upcoming projects. Using modular construction methods they were able to get the facility completed and ready for occupancy faster than they would have with traditional construction. The Barnstable Early Childhood Center is up and running occupied by the young learners it was designed for.
