Four Modular Classroom Additions Delivered on a Tight Timeline
In 2017, Triumph Modular completed one of its most demanding public school projects: delivering modular classrooms to all four elementary schools in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. To meet the district’s goal of having the modular classroom buildings fully operational by September, construction began before the summer break. Three of the schools received six modular classrooms plus restrooms, while the fourth school received four classrooms.
Temporary Modular Buildings with Permanent-Quality Finishes
Although the additions were classified as temporary modular buildings, each classroom addition was built on a full foundation and included a concrete deck, providing the structural integrity and longevity of a permanent building. Interior finishes matched those of traditional school buildings, reflecting Triumph’s commitment to quality and educational excellence.
Time- and Cost-Effective Modular Construction
To meet the aggressive timeline, Triumph crews worked seven days a week through summer 2017. Despite the time constraints, all four modular school buildings were delivered on time and under budget. The Chelmsford Public Schools project demonstrates the advantages of modular construction in educational settings: speed, flexibility, and cost control.
