What is greener than a building repurposed in its entirety? This green modular complex started out as a temporary childcare center on the Cambridge campus of Harvard University. After that, Tufts University required additional building space for their SIS (Student Information System). The building was used by Tufts as SIS for 3 years. Recently, Tufts University found that they needed first class office space to house members of their professional staff.

This new use presented a need for renovations as there was a significant change in occupancy going from the student information center to professional office space.

Triumph engaged in the process of managing the renovation process. Our project team worked in constant coordination with the architects, designers, and Tufts project team. The 7,200 square foot modular building, now has a layout and finishes appropriate for use as a professional office space.

This project is a perfect example of how high performing modular buildings can be relocated and used at subsequent locations for temporary or permanent use.

Triumph turned over the project on time, enabling Tufts to meet their scheduled move-in date. The Tufts professional office space carries over all the green design elements that won the Harvard Childcare Center multiple awards, including the Innovation in Green Design Award from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) MA Chapter and the Best of Show and Green Building Award from the Modular Building Institute (MBI).
