Three-Story 960 sq ft Modular Fire Training Facility Built in Downtown Cambridge

The City of Cambridge Fire Department now trains firefighters in hyper-realistic conditions thanks to a three-story, 960 sq ft galvanized-steel modular training tower erected directly beside active Engine #3, without ever disrupting emergency response.

The Challenge

Fit a full-height training structure into an extremely tight urban site surrounded by low-hanging utilities, active apparatus bays, and zero staging area, all while maintaining 24/7 station operations.

Solution: Precision Urban Modular Delivery

In partnership with WHP Trainingtowers™, factory-building the entire patented MODx Modular™ structure off-site, then executed phased nighttime deliveries and telehandler sets. The tower (patent number – 12,456,388) was craned onto a custom-reinforced concrete slab, finished with stairs, roof, and live-fire piping in weeks instead of years.
