The new aesthetic

An article in today’s Boston Globe points to a new aesthetic in modular construction with the intersection of form, function and sustainability.

Good design incorporates form, function and now sustainability. This is a great time to take advantage of modular, energy efficient, healthy learning and work building space. The time saved with environmentally safe materials and modular construction enables companies to save money in the long term, be more competitive and be part of the “right trends in the marketplace.”

I can’t think of many CEO’s who are not interested in saving on energy costs and improving the time to occupancy for adding to their school or corporate spaces. The designs are very cool aesthetically…architects can leverage the modular pre-fabrication into their design solutions getting the best solution for a business or school. It just makes “green” sense.
